3. Processing of personal data

3.1. Visit to our website

3.1.1. Scope of data processing

The temporary storage of the user's IP address by our web server is necessary for technical reasons to ensure that the website can be displayed. For this purpose, the user's IP address must be stored for the duration of the session.

The aforementioned data is stored in the log files to ensure the functionality of our website. This data is also used to optimise our website and to guarantee the security of our information technology systems (e.g. for attack detection). In this context, no data is evaluated for marketing purposes.

The temporary storage of this data and the log files is based on Article 6 (1) (f) of the GDPR. Our legitimate interest consists in the operation and ensuring the security of our website.

The aforementioned data is erased as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. Where data is collected for the provision of the website, this is the case when the respective session has ended. In respect of the data stored in the log files, this is the case after a maximum of seven days. Storage beyond this period is possible if the data is required (e.g. investigation of attacks, acts of abuse or fraud). We implement technical, contractual and organisational measures to ensure the security of data processing in accordance with the state of the art.
